I got a rack

by Stephen McGroarty 1/21/2008 1:45:00 AM

So a friend was cleaning house at his work and donated a half rack to me.

So I tossed it into the back of my truck, and took it home. I got it on Wednesday, and it took till today to get it into place. It is not in bad shape, and for the price it is pretty good.

I hosed it down, cleaned it up a little, and put it into the house.

The hardest part of it was putting the servers into it.

Remember, when you have two servers that look a like, label them to make your life simpler.

I also redid my network in general, now my wireless is in a different location, and my xbox is online.

So overall it was a productive weekend, more then I thought it would be. I got Windows Server 2008 online, put together a dinning room set, setup a half rack at home, meet with club members to redo the club web site, and went to a child's birthday party, no wonder I am tired.

You know, I do not have anything interesting to say, but with an easier way to do updates I will say a lot more nothing.
